Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY, is seeking a Per Diem Respiratory Therapy student to gain hands-on observation under supervision by the Owensboro Health Respiratory Care team.

No prior experience is required. You must have a high school diploma or GED and be enrolled in a respiratory program. BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment for this position.

Job Summary

This role gains limited hands-on experience and observation of Respiratory procedures under the supervision of an Owensboro Health Respiratory Care team member.

Job Responsibilities

• Observes Respiratory related procedures.
• Assists with EKG, gas management and patient transporting.
• Cleans respiratory equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Stocks respiratory supplies.
• Builds knowledge of healthcare privacy regulations (HIPPA) and supports efforts to maintain patient confidentiality in all tasks.

Skills and Attributes

Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under minimal supervision.
