Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville, FL seeks a patient-focused technician to perform ECGs, pulse oximetry, rhythm strips, and 24-hour Holter monitor hook-ups. You will assist with stress testing and handle related paperwork, charges, and supply processing.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or equivalent, with an EKG course preferred, and experience with EKG, Holter, and event monitoring. Knowledge of medical terminology and comfort with mechanical devices are required.

Responsibilities

Hook-ups and assists with Stress Testing and processing Respiratory Equipment as needed. Processes job related paperwork. Enters charges for procedures performed. Assist in timely and safe supply processing, and distribution of equipment. Ability to work flexible hours/shifts, inclusive of weekends and holidays. Attention to detail as it pertains to patients, procedures, equipment and supplies

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:HS graduate or equivalent. Completion of EKG course preferred. Experience in performing EKG, 24 Holter and event monitoring desired. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Aptitude to work with mechanical devices. Skills and Specific Job Knowledge:

• An ability and willingness to work with patients of all ages and developmental needs.

• Evidence of good physical and emotional health.
