Job summary

HDR is seeking a strategic-minded Resources Business Group Data Steward to shape how our data is defined, used, and reused across the Business Group and HDR. This leadership role focuses on making data simpler, more useful, and more connected to the way we do business, today and in the future.

The role requires leading governance, defining data standards, and enabling better decisions through data reuse and delivery excellence, while partnering with HDR Data Operations and Technology leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
• 10+ years of strategic leadership focused on data governance and change management.
• 15+ years delivering data-focused solutions in large organizations.
• Experience in architecture, engineering, or construction domains is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with leaders, managers, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the RBG data point of contact and leverage SME expertise.
• Develop and maintain data glossaries for key terms with business context.
• Build alignment around data processes and usage.
• Promote responsible data access, quality, and reuse.
• Govern externally sourced datasets and lifecycle considerations.
• Lead a RBG SME network to align practices across groups.
• Promote data fluency across the RBG and teams.
• Collaborate with Data Science and Operations teams.
