Job summary

Granite School District is seeking a Resource Special Education Mild/Moderate Teacher for a one-year assignment at Fox Hills Elementary. The role requires a Utah Special Education license, an associate license path, or equivalent licensure, and a strong collaborative approach within the school team.

The position begins in the 2026–2027 school year with emphasis on proficiency-based learning and strong classroom management.

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold Utah Special Education licensure or equivalent.
• Must meet or be willing to meet SB 241 Science of Reading requirement.
• One-year position starting for the 2026–2027 school year.
• Bachelor’s degree and USBE licensure requirements must be met.
• Mild/Moderate endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Teach core content aligned with USBE Core Curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans and differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support access to and progress in the general curriculum.
• Administer group assessments and maintain student records.
• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment in the classroom.
