Our team is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support students in a 3rd–5th grade resource room classroom in Illinois. This full-time opportunity is available for the full school year and offers an opportunity to provide individualized instruction and support within an elementary school setting.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Participate in IEP meetings and student support meetings.

• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.

Requirements

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution and possess a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate special education endorsement, including Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS I) credentials applicable to the students served. Applicants with a comparable out-of-state special education license may also be considered if they meet Illinois licensure requirements. Strong communication, organization, classroom management, and collaboration skills are essential, along with the ability to develop and deliver instruction tailored to individual students' needs. Previous school-based special education experience is preferred.
