Job summary

Plymouth-Canton Community Schools is seeking toemploy culturally responsive teachers who willbe able to support and sustain equity-focused instruction for all learners. These educators create high achieving learning environments and apply differentiated instruction and assessment to raise achievement for learners from all racial groups.

The Resource Room teacher will deliver explicit instruction in core areas, provide inclusive coaching in classrooms, and may co-teach with general education

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan elementary teaching certificate with at least one special education endorsement.
• Applicants with the Learning Disabilities endorsement are preferred.

POSITION: ResourceRoomTeacher

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires a valid Michigan elementary teaching certificate with at least one (1) special education endorsement. Applicants with the Learning Disabilities (SM) endorsement are preferred.

Resource Room teachers deliver explicit instruction in all required areas. They also provide inclusive coaching support in classrooms. Students are seen in both push in and pull out models. Resource Room teachers provide both academic and behavioral supports.

Position may also include co-teaching with general education teachers.
