Job summary

Sovah Health - Danville is hiring an RN Resources Nurse for the Med/Surg and Post‑Op unit. The role centers on admissions, clinical education and throughput, with a focus on medication reconciliation and bed management to expedite admissions.

The position offers a 9:00 AM–5:30 PM schedule, Monday–Friday, in person, with a $20,000 sign‑on eligibility and a 12‑bed unit team. RN license and ADN required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure (VA or compact) and Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Strong clinical nursing education and admissions coordination experience.
• Experience with bed management and admission processes preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary admission nurse for assigned unit during shift; focus on medication reconciliation.
• Manage bed assignments ('bed ahead') in TeleTracking to expedite admissions.
• Provide care plan information and update patient boards at admission.
• Perform rounds and communicate findings to unit leadership for escalations.
• Collaborate with house supervisor on discharges and barriers to throughput.
• Support clinical quality initiatives and educate staff on services available.
