Job summary

Sovah Health - Danville is seeking an RN Resources Nurse for the Medical/Surgical and Post-Op unit. The role focuses on admissions coordination, bed management, and staff education to support high-quality patient care.

The position offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus eligibility, comprehensive benefits, and a collaborative team environment in a 12-bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6. In-person, daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Current RN VA or compact state license.
• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• One to two years of nursing experience, Med Surg or Surgery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary admission nurse for the assigned unit during duty hours, emphasizing medication reconciliation.
• Update 'bed ahead' in Teletracking to expedite admissions.
• Provide plan of care information and complete admission boards.
• Round on patients daily and report findings for leadership follow-up.
• Collaborate with house supervisor on discharges and barriers to completion.
• Support clinical quality initiatives on the assigned unit and coordinate staff education.
• Encourage staff participation in community programs and shared governance.
• Complete incident reports and follow-up documentation as needed.
