Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, North Carolina seeks a Registered Nurse for the Nursing Float Pool. The role covers facilities within Center City, Southern or Western Zones, with 40 hours per week and full-time status.

The RN will apply nursing processes, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with care teams across units. BLS and an active RN license are required, with BSN preferred and ongoing professional development encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• BSN preferred forRole advancement.
• Active RN license with multi-state or state privilege where providing care.
• BLS certification required; telehealth licensing may apply.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Evaluates outcomes and takes action as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols.
• Communicates effectively and supports team collaboration and delegation.
• Pursues professional development and maintains required certifications.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and ensures unbiased patient care.
• Appropriate delegation to RNs, LPNs, and UAPs.
• Maintains accurate EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area.
