BioInteractive is HHMI's free science education program, reachingmillions of students and teachers with classroom resources built byscientists, educators, and media developers. The role sits withinthe production team that keeps those resources moving, from firstdraft through copyediting, accessibility checks, translation, andpublication.
Day to day, the work centers on managing the workflows that makethat happen: coordinating with content teams and vendors, keepingJira and Trello boards accurate, tracking timelines for largerinitiatives, and looking for places to automate repetitivesteps.
This position works on a hybrid schedule, reporting in-personthree days a week to our headquarters in Chevy Chase,Maryland.
This role is based at HHMI Headquarters and reports to the Technical Program & Accessibility Manager, BioInteractive. Itrequires a bachelor's degree, or a high school diploma and four ormore years of professional experience, plus at least three yearsmanaging workflows and using project management software such asTrello and Jira.
Remaining in a normal seated or standing position for extendedperiods of time; reaching and grasping by extending hand(s) orarm(s); dexterity to manipulate objects with fingers, for exampleusing a keyboard; communication skills using the spoken word;ability to see and hear within normal parameters; ability to moveabout workspace. The position requires mobility, including theability to move materials weighing up to several pounds (such as alaptop computer or tablet).
