Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Resource Nurse to support staff on assigned units, participate in staff education and performance improvement activities. This role does not assign a specific patient load but may take temporary assignments for imaging or transfers as needed.

The position requires ASN/BSN, 2+ years critical care, MA RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and the ability to manage Med/Surg patients and complex IV therapies. Evening/Night shift schedule with rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• 2+ years of critical care experience required.
• Current licensure in Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.

Responsibilities

• Function in Rapid Response/Code Blue teams and assist on units including Behavioral Health, Maternity.
• Assist in emergent procedures and support staff with policies and patient care.
• Round on units, assist with medication administration and documentation.
• Promote staff growth and improve patient experience.
