Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking a detail-oriented MDS float candidate for full-time travel across KY, TN, IN and NC. The role combines bedside resident assessment with MDS coverage and collaboration with families, focused on RAI, PPS and QM guidelines.

Applicants must hold an RN or LPN license and have at least 3 years of MDS experience in long-term care, with willingness to travel up to 100% of the time and stay overnight as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years MDS experience in a long-term care setting.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with ability to obtain multi-state licensures.
• Willingness to travel Monday–Friday with overnight stays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide MDS coverage for open positions and educate/implement RAI, PPS, QM, Medicaid/Medicare guidelines.
• Assist with onboarding of new MDSC and collaborate with Clinical Reimbursement Specialist.
• Exhibit competency in RAI, care planning, PPS, Medicare/Medicaid requirements.

Overview

The ideal MDS float Candidate is very detailed orientated, organized, self-motivated, while still being bedside for resident assessment and meeting with families. The ability to travel Monday – Friday is a must.

How you Will make a difference

• Provide MDS coverage for open positions, educate and implement programs that apply to the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), Prospective Payment Systems (PPS), Quality Measures (QM’s), Medicaid Casemix and Medicare guidelines for all SHC stakeholders.
• Assist and collaborate with Clinical Reimbursement Specialist with onboarding of new MDSC.
• Exhibit competency in all areas of the RAI, Care Planning, PPS, Medicare, and when applicable Medicaid Case Mix
