Job summary

Resource International, Inc. (Rii) is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector with 8+ years of relevant experience to join our Cleveland-area team.

The role focuses on field inspection, test data collection, and ensuring compliance with contract documents on heavy commercial roadway projects for ODOT. Ideal candidates will be fully versed in construction inspection and quality assurance testing and hold appropriate certifications.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience as a Senior Construction Inspector.
• Experience on heavy commercial roadway projects for ODOT.
• Strong knowledge of construction inspection and quality assurance testing.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Perform field inspection and testing to ensure conformance to contract documents.
• Draft daily observation and test data reports and communicate results to field and office staff.
• Evaluate test data and perform calculations as needed.
• Carry out field duties in a courteous and professional manner.
• Obtain and maintain appropriate certifications, licenses, and endorsements.

• Rii has an immediate need for experienced Senior Construction Inspector with 8 plus years of relevant experience.


• Requires experience in heavy commercial construction projects for Roadway projects for ODOT.


• Ideal candidates will be fully versed in construction inspection and quality assurance testing.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings.


• Perform field inspection and testing to ensure conformance to contract documents.


• Draft daily observation and test data reports for all activities on site. Communicate test results and observations with appropriate field and office staff before leaving the project site.


• Evaluate test data and perform mathematical calculations, as needed.


• Perform field duties in a courteous and professional manner.


• Obtain and/or maintain appropriate certifications, licenses, and endorsements.

Preferred Certifications

• ODOT Prequalification (Various)


• ICC or ACI Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector


• NICET Asphalt Level II


• NICET Concrete Level II


• NICET Soils Level II


• City of Cleveland Special Inspector Registration
