Job summary

Saint Joseph Hospital - Lexington offers a structured Resident CT Technologist program designed to provide hands-on CT knowledge and clinical skills. Graduates of accredited Radiologic Technology programs will undertake supervised training and competency development under the Diagnostics Imaging Clinical Education Coordinator.

You will learn to operate CT scanners, manage contrast, position patients, document procedures, and contribute to patient safety and care standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Radiographer in Kentucky (KY) upon hire.
• BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate CT scanners and produce cross‑section images for diagnosis.
• Follow safety procedures, interpret instructions, and position patients.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Resident CT Technologist, you will embark on a structured, hands‑on learning experience designed to provide comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in all aspects of computed tomography (CT).

Every day, you will engage in concurrent work experience and training for graduates of accredited Radiologic Technology programs, culminating in competency upon program completion and managed by the Diagnostic Imaging Clinical Education Coordinator. You will learn to utilize CT scanners to produce cross‑section images for medical diagnosis in compliance with safety procedures, interpreting instructions, administering contrast, operating equipment, and positioning patients. Your work also includes maneuvering equipment/patients, providing basic patient care, submitting accurate documentation, and supporting patient/employee satisfaction initiatives.

To be successful in this temporary position, you will possess graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, coupled with a strong desire to specialize in CT. You will demonstrate exceptional aptitude for learning technical skills, keen attention to detail, and a commitment to patient care and safety.

$25,000 Sign on bonus and up to $24,000 in educational assistance for eligible hires!

Pay Range

$29.36 - $43.68 /hour
