Saint Joseph Hospital - Lexington is seeking a Resource Radiologic Technologist for weekend coverage. You will operate imaging equipment, perform diagnostic procedures, obtain patient histories, explain steps clearly, and ensure patient comfort in all interactions.

Requirements include AS in Radiologic Technology or a JRCERT-accredited program, and ARRT registration. KY radiography license and experience in diagnostic imaging are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field required.
• Program must be accredited by JRCERT.
• KY Medical Radiographer license required.
• ARRT certification required or equivalent.

Responsabilités

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Resource Radiologic Technologist (Weekend), you will operate imaging equipment and perform diagnostic procedures crucial for patient diagnosis, primarily on weekends. Every day, you will obtain detailed patient history, explain routine procedures clearly, and empathetically address patient concerns, ensuring their comfort and understanding. You will be responsible for operating various imaging equipment and performing a range of diagnostic procedures. If necessary, you will prepare and administer barium salts or other chemical mixtures, always under appropriate supervision. To be successful in this role, you will possess a current Radiologic Technologist certification/license and clinical experience in diagnostic imaging. You will demonstrate exceptional technical proficiency, meticulous attention to detail in patient history, procedure explanation, and record-keeping, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
• Performs procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist’s expectations and protocols.
• Displays knowledge and complies with the National Patient Safety goals.
• Supports and reports any identified compliance matters.
• Participates in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction.
• Maintains professional development and education for technical competency.
