Job summary

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks a dedicated team member to assist in daily operations of the Resource Center and Elevate Salon, while training and supervising volunteers. You will identify and update patient education materials in coordination with the Concierge and Patient Education Departments, and educate patients and families on cancer information with access to trusted resources.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field or the equivalent of one year of full-time experience in a health or education field.
Associate’s degree in a health-related field and the equivalent of three years of full-time experience in a health or education related field.
High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of five years of full-time experience in a health or education related field.

Responsibilities

Assist with the daily operations of the Resource Center and Elevate Salon.
Train and supervise the Resource Center and Elevate Salon volunteers.
Identify, develop and update patient education materials in cooperation with the Concierge Services Department and Patient Education Department.
Educate patients and family members on cancer information and provide access to reliable resources.
Assist with the development and implementation of organization-wide educational and Quality of Life grant funded programs, including patient outreach and support.
