Job summary

ISO New England is seeking a rising senior for a Resource Adequacy Study Internship. You’ll work alongside industry experts on studies that help ensure reliable electricity for millions across New England, with hands-on experience in power system planning, scenario analysis, and data review.

You’ll gain exposure to capacity market analysis, resource accreditation, and renewable integration challenges, while developing technical and analytical problem-solving skills in a real-world energy

Qualifications

A strong, independent work ethic and curiosity about solving complex technical problems.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
Basic understanding of power system concepts.
Programming experience, preferably in Python or R.

Responsibilities

Support studies to ensure the region has the resources needed to meet future electricity demand.
Collaborate on MARS simulations, what-if scenario analysis, and renewable integration impacts.
Review data and propose process improvements for more efficient studies.
Gain exposure to capacity market analysis, resource accreditation, and reliability planning.
