Fremont Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher for Resource 3 at Fremont Middle School in Nebraska. The role requires Nebraska Teaching Certificate with the appropriate endorsement in Special Education, plus experience with IEPs and development of individualized curricula.

The position is full-time with district-provided health options and retirement benefits. Salary follows the 26-27 negotiated agreement and includes a certified annual stipend.

Qualifications

• Nebraska teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement in Special Education.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or Special Education.
• Experience with IEP development and behavior modification strategies.
• Knowledge of Rule 51 guidelines for IEP development and services.
• Ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with professionals to plan and provide programming for students with special needs.
• Develop and manage individual education plans (IEPs) with the team.
• Plan and implement an alternative curriculum for students with disabilities.
• Prepare records for students receiving services through the IEP process.
• Communicate with parents and staff regarding educational programs and progress.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development.
