Job summary

Newport Harbor Island Resort in Newport, Rhode Island, is seeking a Security Guard to protect guests and team members, ensuring safety and a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, clear communication, and the ability to respond quickly in high-stress situations.

Schedule: Friday through Tuesday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Requires high school diploma or equivalent; hotel security experience preferred; fluency in English; ability to work a flexible schedule

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior security/law enforcement experience, hotel preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of emergency procedures and first aid/CPR certification preferred
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
