Newport Harbor Island Resort in Newport, Rhode Island, is seeking a vigilant Security Guard to protect guests and team members and uphold a safe, welcoming environment.

You will monitor the property, respond to incidents, and enforce safety procedures with calm, clear communication in a fast-paced hotel setting, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior security/law enforcement experience, hotel preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Read, write and speak English fluently.
• Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures and first aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Security Guard to join our team! As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests and staff. The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think quickly in high-stress situations. If you are someone who is passionate about providing exceptional service and keeping our property safe, then we want to hear from you!

Schedule: Friday-Tuesday 7AM-3:30PM
