Job summary

Sugarbush Resort, part of Alterra Mountain Company, is seeking a Sales Manager to lead strategic sales across resort business areas. You will drive revenue targets, build new client relationships, and collaborate with the VP of Sales to craft market-specific plans. This is a full-time, year-round role with base pay plus commission.

The role emphasizes travel for prospecting and industry events, strong leadership, and cross-team collaboration to maximize growth and customer acquisition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
• Extensive knowledge of sales, customer and lead generating strategies.
• Experience managing, coaching, and leading high performing teams.
• Ability to travel for work.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual business plans with the Director of Sales.
• Travel for sales prospecting calls, meetings, and trade shows.
• Maintain CRM and contract/proposal documentation.
• Manage leads, sales conversions and lost business in Delphi.
• Coordinate handoffs from sales to operations.
• Create proposals, presentations, and RFP responses.
• Monitor pricing, products, promotions, and sales strategies.
• Lead in-market outreach and client meetings to grow revenues.
• Develop annual sales/marketing plans and identify new markets.
