Job summary

Fortune Bay Resort Casino in Minnesota seeks a Resort Sales Coordinator to manage group bookings, from initial contact to billing, and to coordinate events with the sales and banquet teams.

You will cultivate relationships with new and repeat clients, schedule tours, and assist with food tastings and proposals to bring groups to Fortune Bay. Strong communication and Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a business office setting with customer services.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated and goal oriented.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients from initial contact through billing and closing payment, including creating hotel blocks and coordinating Banquet Events Orders.
• Coordinate group business for Fortune Bay Resort Casino (weddings, social groups, bus groups) and stay and play packages.
• Attend trade shows to boost business and develop new clients.
• Make cold calls and meet potential new groups to expand clientele.
• Foster repeat business and ensure guest satisfaction with event details.
• Collaborate with culinary team to meet food and beverage needs and provide after-sales support.
