Job summary

Merlin Entertainments is seeking an Operations Planner to oversee workforce planning, scheduling, and staffing across the resort. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize resources, control labor costs, and enhance guest experience while ensuring compliance with California labor laws.

Responsibilities include daily rosters, payroll review, training coordination, and development of backup staffing plans.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in workforce planning, scheduling, or resource management in guest-focused environments.
• Experience with scheduling tools and data analysis to improve resource efficiency.
• Strong understanding of labor laws and compliance in relevant markets.

Responsibilities

• Create daily staffing rosters for resort departments.
• Ensure frontline coverage aligns with labor budgets.
• Review hours for payroll accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate training for new MCs and staff.
• Identify staffing shortages and coordinate recruiting with HR.
• Develop backup staffing plans for disruptions.
• Analyze staffing levels using RP C and guest KPIs.
• Propose tools and processes to improve scheduling.
