Job summary

Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort in Palmetto Dunes, SC is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure rental units are clean, safe, and in excellent working order. You will support the Property Management Division and report to the General Maintenance Manager.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, ability to handle multiple tasks, and effective communication with guests and staff to deliver a WOW experience.

Qualifications

• Two years of historical work experience in a maintenance related field.
• Organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Some general IT knowledge.
• Ability to communicate with team members, contractors and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all resort rental units in proper working order.
• Inspect and test equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
• Record repair type and cost.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools.
• Assist in gathering quotes from 3rd party vendors for renovations.
• Estimate repair costs.
• Perform repairs to rental property during occupancy.
• Coordinate with tenants for access to conduct repairs.
• Respond to emergency calls and prioritize tasks.
• Complete daily work records and job assignment sheets.
• Order parts, supplies, and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to reduce future problems.
• Work with other service providers for items not covered under contracts.
• Address issues to ensure unit integrity.
• Assist in check-in/check-out communications with front desk.
