Job summary

El Capitan Canyon is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to respond to guest repair requests and perform routine maintenance across resort accommodations, facilities, and streets. You will conduct pre/post-occupancy checklists and ensure the resort remains inviting with proper curb appeal.

The role requires multitasking, attention to detail, and a strong customer-service mindset, with duties spanning workshop upkeep, equipment inspection, and on-site safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Hard-working, reliable and focused on providing exceptional customer service.
• Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 10 pounds frequently.
• Availability for flexible shift schedules, including second shifts (2PM-10:30PM), weekends and holidays.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Responsibilities

• Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
• Complete routine maintenance and minor repairs to resort accommodations, facilities, and streets as needed.
• Complete checklists of physical condition of resort accommodations prior to and after guest occupancy.
• Ensure resort is presentable and inviting, adhering to curb appeal standards.
• Ensure trash/debris is picked up daily from common areas and streets; empty containers as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized maintenance workshop and storerooms.
• Inspect playground, pool/spa, and other recreational areas for good condition and perform minor repairs.
• Ensure resort streets and public routes are free of hazards.
• Maintain resort pool(s) and test chemical levels.
• Maintain resort vehicles and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and operate vehicles safely.
• Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Ensure uniform and professional appearance.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.
