Job summary

The Harbors in Two Harbors, MN, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to uphold the safety, comfort, and functionality of our resort facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems, and respond quickly to requests from guests and staff.

You will document activities, collaborate across departments, assist with new equipment installations, and help ensure compliance with health and safety standards in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a maintenance engineer in hospitality or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and safely.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Good communication and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects.
• Relevant certifications or licenses in maintenance, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimize disruption.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance and ensure safety standards.
• Assist in installing new equipment and upgrades to existing systems.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
