Job summary

Cavalier Oceanfront Resort is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to keep HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems in peak condition, ensuring guest comfort and safety. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, address equipment issues, and tackle on-site repairs with a focus on reliability and guest satisfaction.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, physical work, and teamwork in a coastal resort setting on the Central Coast.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in hotel maintenance or related field preferred.
• Trade license in plumbing, electrical, HVAC or carpentry is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections and repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other systems.
• Handle preventive maintenance in guest rooms and common areas; minor carpentry and painting as needed.
• Address emergencies and safety issues promptly, following safety protocols and guest safety priorities.
