Job summary

Running Y Resort is seeking a Groundskeeper/Landscaper to maintain the resort grounds, mowing, trimming, planting and irrigation tasks. The role requires operating lawn equipment, managing pests and coordinating with other departments to keep facilities looking pristine.

Candidate should have landscaping experience and a valid driver’s license. This on-site position offers outdoor work in varied weather, with responsibilities including snow removal and seasonal plant care.

Qualifications

• Prior landscaping experience preferred.
• Must be able to operate a lawn-mower, weed and grass trimmer, snow removal equipment and hand tools.
• Knowledge of chemicals and pesticides.

Responsibilities

• Remove all trash from grounds, landscaping areas and parking lots daily.
• Cut grass and trim shrubs.
• Remove weeds from grounds.
• Rake and remove leaves.
• Water landscaped areas.
• Remove and replace dead or damaged plants, shrubs and trees.
• Plant new flowers and shrubs in appropriate seasons.
• Mulch and maintain landscape beds.
• Inspect and diagnose insect and disease problems on trees and shrubs.
• Dig ditches as needed.
• Pipe fitting and irrigation system repairs.
• Maintain grounds equipment in proper working order and keep equipment storage area safe and clean.
• Remove snow and ice from roads, sidewalks and parking lots as needed.
• Keep work area neat and organized.
• Conduct self in a professional manner.
• Maintain a safe working environment and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain good working relationships with all departments.
• Comply with policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
