Job summary

Island-Hospitality-Management is seeking a Resort Groundskeeper to maintain and enhance the appearance of our resort properties. You will perform landscaping, weed control, irrigation checks, and basic repairs, ensuring safety and curb appeal.

Flexibility in scheduling is required, with responsibilities that may vary by guest occupancy, season, and staffing. Experience in groundskeeping and operation of common tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Broad experience in general grounds maintenance techniques.
• Proficient with handheld tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery.

Responsibilities

• Ensure lawns are manicured appropriately.
• Regularly treat weeds and perform weed control; rake leaves, plant flowers/shrubs, spread mulch/woodchips/stones, trim shrubs and hedges.
• Inspect the irrigation system regularly and repair as needed.
• Maintain resort vehicles and equipment and report maintenance issues to the manager.
• Keep the resort presentable and adhere to curb appeal standards; maintain pool chemical levels.
• Follow safety procedures while performing duties and operating vehicles.
