Job summary

Juniper Preserve in Bend, OR, is seeking a Resort Gardener to maintain outdoor spaces and support landscape health under the supervision of the Landscape Manager and Supervisor.

You will handle tools like hand tools, blowers, mowers, and trimmers, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safety and efficiency on the grounds, contributing to a premier hospitality experience for members and guests.

Qualifications

• No special education required.
• Must be able to understand oral instructions.
• Must be able to comprehend topics of a conceptual nature.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret a variety of job-related instruction manuals.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand tools, blowers, rotary mowers and string trimmers safely.
• Install and maintain plant material.
• Clean and store equipment at day end.
• Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Wear provided safety equipment as required: glasses, earplugs, back support, etc.
• Report equipment issues to supervisor immediately.
• Maintain professional appearance and courteous interaction with members and guests.
• Adapt to new tasks as assigned by Landscape Manager.
