Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Engineer on Duty (EOD) for Horseshoe Bay Resort. The EOD provides critical frontline maintenance to ensure smooth operations, guest comfort, and timely repairs across guest rooms and public areas.

Responsibilities include monitoring life safety systems, performing rapid repairs to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other mechanicals, and maintaining detailed shift logs for seamless handoffs between teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in at least three core trades: HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Carpentry, or Kitchen Equipment.
• Experience with Pneumatic/Electronic systems and controls is highly preferred.
• Strong finish skills including painting and general building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Guest Room & Public Area Maintenance: rapid-response repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Life Safety & Emergency Response: monitor fire alarm and life safety systems; act as primary engineering responder during emergencies.
• System Monitoring & Documentation: read meters and gauges; maintain daily shift logs for clear communication.
• Energy & Utility Stewardship: monitor and report opportunities for energy conservation.
• Safety & Accident Prevention: follow JSA standards and identify hazardous conditions.
• Asset Management: maintain tools and equipment; organize engineering shop and storage areas.
