Job summary

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Maintenance Engineer in California to maintain and repair essential systems across Disney properties. The role covers HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical equipment to ensure guest and cast member experiences meet high standards.

Shifts are night-based, with availability on Sundays through Saturdays and holidays. EPA 608 certification is required, and CPMMS/energy systems experience is valued as part of preventative maintenance efforts.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel or resort maintenance.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools.
  • Familiarity with energy management systems and CMMS software.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance on equipment (boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain boilers, chillers, compressors, refrigeration equipment, generators, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical systems.
  • Paint, wallpaper, carpentry and related refurbishment tasks as directed.
  • Operate and maintain electrical panels and wiring systems.
  • Inspect and maintain water supply lines and fixtures.
  • Operate and maintain industrial laundry equipment and related machinery.
