Job summary

The Walt Disney Company is seeking an Operator Energy System to support the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. You will monitor plant equipment, respond to alerts, and ensure safe, efficient operation of chilled water, hot water and compressed air systems.

Requirements include 4+ years in industrial equipment operation, a valid Florida driver’s license, EPA certification, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience operating industrial equipment or a related field
  • Valid Florida driver’s license
  • Universal EPA certification or completion within 3 months of employment
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and flow charts
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in standard office software and mobile devices

Responsibilities

  • Validate operation of equipment (chilled, hot water and compressed air) and document status, making adjustments to optimize performance
  • Sequence equipment to meet production demands while optimizing plant efficiency
  • Respond to emergencies requiring facility restart
  • Perform routine water treatment tests and operate chemical equipment to maintain water chemistry
  • Cast members may handle cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Additional PPE may be required (face shields, goggles, etc.)
