Job summary

Westgate Cocoa Beach Resort is seeking an Engineering Tech III to support resort operations by performing maintenance projects, preventive maintenance, and work orders. You will lead engineering tasks, inspect MEP systems, and ensure safety and reliability of all equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years of hands-on maintenance in a resort or commercial setting, and CPO/EPA HVAC licenses. A valid driver’s license and strong English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a resort or commercial environment.
• Written and verbal communication in English required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes, repairs, and preventive maintenance as directed by resort management.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure safe and proper operation of MEP systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and replacement of HVAC and mechanical components.
• Diagnose plumbing fixtures, handle clogs, and conduct repairs and equipment replacements.
• Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing electrical components, such as breakers and contactors.
• Repair and troubleshoot appliances and household fixtures.
• Lead small construction projects, including drywall, carpentry, concrete, and flooring.
• Work with pools, spas, and water features, including chemical balancing and maintenance of all MEP equipment.
• Participate in procurement and inventory processes to ensure materials and tools are available for work.
• Read and interpret technical data, blueprints, and OEM manuals.
• Operate resort operations software (HotSOS) and related systems.
