Job summary

Westgate Vacation Villas & Town Center Resort in Kissimmee is seeking an Engineering Tech II to support resort operations through maintenance projects, preventive tasks, and guest service. The role involves plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fixtures work to ensure guest comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of hands-on maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years hands-on maintenance experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Written and verbal communication in English is expected.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license as required by the resort.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes, and preventive maintenance as directed by resort management.
• Troubleshoot plumbing issues, make repairs, and replace fixtures and piping as needed.
• Diagnose, replace, and repair minor electrical components such as receptacles and ballasts.
• Troubleshoot and repair appliances and household fixtures.
• Understand HVAC systems and perform basic preventive maintenance and diagnostics.
• Repair interior and exterior walls, wall coverings, and ceilings, including texturing, painting, and caulking.
• Repair or replace tiles, grout, vinyl, and carpet as required.
• Work with pools, spas, and water features, including chemical balancing and cleaning tasks.
• Participate in procurement and inventory processes to ensure materials and tools are available for work.
• Operate resort operations devices and software (HotSOS and similar systems).
• Communicate professionally through radios, phones, emails, and verbal interactions.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as required by resort management.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, and battery-powered tools.
• Work with ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and PPE.
• Follow safety guidelines and identify safety hazards.
• Communicate guest needs effectively toward resolution.
• Adhere to Westgate Resorts policies and procedures.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
