Job summary

Westgate Resorts in Lynden, WA seeks an Engineering Technician II to maintain a safe, attractive resort and deliver guest-ready service. You’ll troubleshoot repairs, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to guest needs, contributing to a high-quality vacation experience with integrity and work ethic.

The role requires 1–3 years of hands-on maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and a Certified Pool Operator license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1–3 years hands-on maintenance or skilled trades experience in a resort, hospitality, or commercial environment.
• Valid driver’s license required and must be maintained.
• Certified Pool Operator license required by the resort.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, and general building maintenance.
• Strong guest service, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience using maintenance management systems, including HotSOS, preferred.
• Lift/move/push/pull up to 50+ pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering projects, preventive maintenance, resort blitzes, and guest service calls as assigned by resort leadership.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical, appliance, and HVAC systems.
• Repair and maintain interior and exterior building components, including walls, ceilings, paint, textures, caulking, and flooring materials.
• Maintain pools, spas, and water features, including chemical balancing, cleaning, and general upkeep.
• Support procurement and inventory processes to ensure adequate materials, supplies, and tools are available.
• Utilize HotSOS and other resort operations systems to manage and document maintenance activities.
• Communicate professionally with guests and team members to resolve maintenance concerns and deliver exceptional service.
• Safely operate maintenance equipment, including hand and power tools, ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and PPE.
• Identify, report, and help resolve potential safety hazards while adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
