Job summary

Merlin in Carlsbad, CA, seeks an EMT to provide medical coverage across resort facilities, ensuring high-quality patient care and safety. You will perform BLS care, coordinate with transportation providers, and maintain detailed documentation for all incidents.

The role requires EMT certification and strong communication skills, with flexibility for shifts including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The position supports guests, employees, contractors, and vendors onsite.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of EMT experience.
• Current San Diego County EMT Card.
• Current CPR/AED certificate (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• EMT Bridged/ER/theme park medical experience is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of Cal OSHA, hazard communications and safety training methods.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and reasoning skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide BLS emergency medical care on site for guests and staff.
• Coordinate patient care between local transport agencies and LLCR emergency staff.
• Complete detailed, accurate documentation and reports.
• Assist with work-related injuries and daily clinic operations.
• Perform patrols of resort areas including hotel, pools, Sea Life, and construction sites.
• Operate emergency medical vehicle as required for scenes on and off property.
• Clean, stock and maintain treatment areas and medical bags/equipment.
• Support patient care/communication via emails and other channels.
