Job summary

Merlin Entertainments in Carlsbad, CA is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to support the Health Services department with BLS response, workers’ compensation duties, and on-site medical coverage for the resort.

Responsibilities include patient care coordination, documentation, AED checks, and safe operation of medical equipment. Requires CPR/BLS credentials, EMT certification, and excellent communication skills; willingness to work varied shifts is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year EMT experience
• Current San Diego County EMT Card
• Current CPR/AED certificate (AHA or Red Cross accepted)
• EMT Bridged/ER or theme park medical experience desirable
• Basic knowledge of Cal/OSHA and safety training preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide BLS emergency medical care to guests, staff, contractors and vendors onsite
• Perform medical coverage for the resort and medical events
• Complete patrols of hotel, pool, Sea Life, and construction sites
• Ensure accurate, detailed documentation and reporting
• Maintain EMT/CPR certifications
