Job description

The Per Diem EMT plays a critical role in providing immediate medical care and emergency response services within the hospitality, tourism, and recreation industry. This position ensures the safety and well‑being of guests, visitors, and staff by delivering prompt and effective pre‑hospital emergency medical treatment. The EMT will respond to a variety of medical emergencies, assess patient conditions, and provide appropriate interventions while coordinating with other healthcare professionals and emergency services. Working on a per diem basis, the EMT must be adaptable and ready to respond to unpredictable schedules and diverse environments, such as recreational venues. Ultimately, this role is essential in maintaining a safe and secure environment, enhancing the overall guest experience through professional and compassionate emergency care.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid EMT certification recognized by the state or relevant regulatory body.
  • Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Physical capability to perform emergency medical duties, including lifting and moving patients.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working as an EMT in hospitality, tourism, or recreational environments.
  • Familiarity with local emergency medical systems and hospital networks.
