Job summary

Wild Dunes Resort in Isle of Palms, SC, invites you to join our Food & Beverage team as a Host/Greeter. You will warmly welcome guests, manage reservations and seating, escort guests to tables, and communicate wait times to ensure smooth dining flow.

Your role supports staff across the front of house and restaurant operations, while upholding professional guest service standards in a fast-paced resort setting.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-first attitude.
• Professional appearance and ability to represent the Wild Dunes Resort service culture.
• Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer and POS system knowledge preferred.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests promptly and courteously as they arrive.
• Manage reservations, wait lists, and guest flow using seating charts or reservation systems.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
• Communicate wait times accurately and manage guest expectations.
• Assist with answering phones, taking reservations, and providing information about restaurant hours and offerings.
• Coordinate with servers and managers to ensure smooth service and efficient table turns.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host stand, lobby, and entryway.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and requests with professionalism and a focus on guest satisfaction.
