Job summary

Mountain Capital Partners is seeking a General Manager to lead Sandia Peak Ski Area in Sandia Park, NM. The role requires shaping multi-year strategy, directing development and capital execution, and rebuilding the guest experience and team culture at this iconic mountain destination.

You will assemble and guide a high-caliber management team, drive growth, and manage P&L, operations, and public-land partnerships with USFS/NEPA.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years in a management role in the ski industry or a business of similar complexity.
Direct P&L ownership and financial management experience.
Demonstrated project management ability—planning, budgeting, and delivering capital projects on time and on budget.
Ability to work effectively with the U.S. Forest Service (or comparable land-management / regulatory partners).
Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, management, or a relevant field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

Responsibilities

Own the resort's long-term strategy and growth plan for Sandia Peak.
Build and lead a management team that runs daily operations to a high standard.
Plan and manage capital improvement projects with cost control, timeline discipline, and measurable outcomes.
Lead the USFS and NEPA process to secure approvals on public land.
Drive guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and profitability through a performance culture.
