Job summary

Sun Polymers, Inc. is urgently hiring Production Laborers to support resin manufacturing. The role involves staging, prepping, loading, and offloading finished products, while keeping machinery and the production floor clean and safe.

Training is on 1st shift (7a-3:30p) for about 30 days, with a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend. Wage differentials apply for 2nd and 3rd shift assignments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
• General math.
• No experience necessary; experience in factory, plant, foundry, mills, manufacturing, or construction environment preferred
• Good tenure in previous positions
• Experience operating machinery or equipment a plus
• Sit down forklift experience a plus; employees without experience will be trained and certified onsite
• Must past drug and background.

Responsibilities

• Start assembly and production machinery at beginning of shift.
• Load reactors with materials in various stages.
• Assist blenders to ensure the flow of production is not interrupted.
• Ensure the production area is clean and free of debris.
• Responsible for moving materials to production areas.
• Adhere to safety guidelines dictation of the production and handling of materials in a factory.
• Ensure that production deadlines are met.
• Report issues or problems to immediate Team Lead or Supervisor.
• Complete production daily tasks as required.
• Other duties as assigned
• Assist in other departments as needed; cross training provided
