Job summary

NPAA, based in Lansing, IL, seeks a Production/Plant Manager to oversee resin and milling plant production, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery. You will manage budgets, supervise staff, set goals aligned with the business plan, and report progress daily.

The role requires a BS in Chemistry or Engineering with 5+ years of supervisory manufacturing experience, and knowledge of EPA/OSHA regulations. SAP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry or Engineering required.
• 5+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
• Experience with EPA and OSHA regulations including PSM.
• Experience with reactive chemistry and control systems.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety compliance across all shifts and promote a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with First-Line Leaders to address daily production issues and ensure timely delivery of finished goods.
• Set production and quality standards, develop budgets and cost controls, and manage resources.
• Participate in safety meetings and enforce NPAA safety policies and SOPs.
• Plan and monitor production activities, prioritizing to meet customer demands and costs.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Maintenance and Quality Control to optimize resources.
• Analyze production and quality data to identify root causes and implement improvements.
• Provide training and support the plant's continuous development program.
• Develop and maintain operating methods to improve efficiency and product quality.
• Adjust schedules in response to equipment failures or supply constraints.
• Collaborate with Engineering to enhance machinery for safety and reliability.
• Administer performance appraisals and manage data reporting for improvements.
