Job summary

Amcor Rigid Packaging seeks a resin handling and reclamation specialist for our Ames, IA operation. The role involves unloading railcars, directing resin to Husky presses per product specs, and following the production schedule to minimize scrap while reclaiming material.

A 12-hour A Team shift from 5a to 5p is expected, with emphasis on accuracy and teamwork. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in resin handling, railcar unloading, reclamation, and holds a current forklift license.

Qualifications

  • Trained in resin handling, railcar unloading, and reclamation.
  • Forklift license required.
  • Employee must have good attendance and be a team player.

Responsibilities

  • Handle resins and reclaim scrap material.
  • Unload railcars and assign correct resin per product specs.
  • Support cost and waste reduction through reclamation efforts.
