Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Shipping Coordinator at our Evansville, IN facility. You will monitor daily shift activities and coordinate inbound/outbound loads, using ERP and TMS systems to ensure accurate data input and on-time shipments.

Responsibilities include routing TICs, handling paperwork, and maintaining compliance with ISO/SQF guidelines. You will assist with labeling, BOLs, and coordinating with drivers and vendors, while supporting the shift leadership team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proven computer skills and ability to use ERP/TMS systems.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Good verbal communication for phone and email.
  • Prior shipping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor inbound TICs and route to the correct department.
  • Handle paperwork, billing notes, and sealing per customer requirements.
  • Answer or route calls and emails promptly to appropriate parties.
  • Perform internal shipping requests and sample processing.
  • Maintain ISO/SQF compliance and safety standards.
  • Schedule and coordinate loads and transport paperwork (BOLs, pack slips).
  • Support shift leadership and coach team members as needed.

Job description

PURPOSE

This position monitors the daily activities of the shift and assist with coordinating, supporting, performing and maintaining all functions related to the coordination, scheduling and data input of all loads through our ERP and TMS systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for monitoring inbound TICs and routing to the correct department.
  • Customer specific requirements and notes for paperwork, billing and sealing
  • Answer or direct phone calls and emails to the correct party in a timely manner
  • Fedex and UPS trained
  • Internal Shipping Requests (ISRs) and Samples process
  • Understand and locate ISO/C Pro procedures
  • Must be able to obtain fork truck license to assist on warehouse floor.
  • Check Drivers & visitor into/out of the facility with proper identification, credentials and equipment.
  • Understands and will adhere to all ISO & SQF guidelines and policies
  • Taken and score highly on all yearly HR required MyDevelopment Courses, and any other courses that are deemed necessary:

  • Have the availability to work any shift and cover for vacations as needed
  • Perform any other required task as directed
  • Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental, and department requirements
  • Monitor and coach employees to make sure that tasks are being completed as expected
  • Support the shift and leadership team
AUTHORITIES
  • Track and monitor carrier detention
  • Ship confirm all shipments and maintain shipment accuracy
  • Coordinate all drop trailer shipments
  • JDE trained to perform Inquiries-Orders, BOL's, Inventory, PO's, Requisitions, Ship Confirm, Release Partial Shipments, and the Load Managers Tote Board.
  • TMC trained on Inbound and Outbound Freight (not including small packages) for Auto Tendering, Book to select or Spot Bidding Loads. Able to Merge Loads /Un-Merging Loads, Activity Board Use and Manual BOL's.
  • Ability to schedule a load with understanding and use of the Load Managers Tote Board, Explanation of color codes in VSL - Shipping, FRT Class Summary, Releasing a SCHEDULED load back to CS, able to schedule a load with no order detail and schedule a Multiple Stop Truck.
  • Ability to run and maintain shipping paperwork like Print BOL / Pack Slip, Reprocess / Cancel Bill of Lading / Pack Slip, Reprint BOL / Pack Slip, Correct BOL (before ship confirm), Manual BOL / Pack Slip, Master BOL
  • Ability to process miscellaneous notes for Shipping from CS regarding the load, F8 Notes placed on the load for future reference, run Bill of Lading Inquiry, check on Freight Class Maintenance and Freight Terms
  • Run Labels-LTL, ASN, Coke-Riteway, Promo, etc.
  • Unusual loads- i.e. Turner Plastic, I.V Miller, Mauer, and Amhil loads
  • Run paperwork for LTL shipments for carrier pickup.
  • Work independently in a secluded section of the facility (Guard Shack) with little to no supervision.
  • Communicate effectively in person with third parties, drivers, vendors & visitors in a composed and professional manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma / GED equivalent.
  • Knowledge of computers and proven ability to apply that knowledge.
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Verbal communication skills necessary to communicate by telephone.
  • Prior shipping experience preferred
  • Ability to work in extreme heat or cold
  • Demonstrated ability in conflict de-escalation
  • Flexible and able to work in a diverse culture
  • Understand that professional conduct is expected at all times
