Job summary

RI Commerce seeks a Resiliency Manager to coordinate climate resilience efforts across state agencies and engage businesses in Rhode Island. The role drives outreach, partnerships, and program execution to strengthen regional resilience and support economic growth.

The position emphasizes inter-agency collaboration, stakeholder education, and project management, with a focus on communication and strategic initiatives to advance climate resilience policies and programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, business, environmental science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business outreach, policy, project management, or educational programming.
• Familiarity with climate change, disaster recovery, economic resilience policies, and/or technology commercialization strategies.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with experience managing large-scale, cross-sector projects.
• Experience with stakeholder engagement, particularly in business or public policy sectors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat and social media platforms.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate climate change outreach efforts and act as liaison with state agencies.
• Engage businesses and stakeholders to support resilience and economic growth.
• Lead inter-agency collaborations and represent RI Commerce on relevant task forces.
• Develop content and messaging across newsletters, websites, and public events.
• Coordinate workshops, trainings, and educational opportunities for RI businesses.
• Assist with securing funding and administering resilience-related grants.
