Weston & Sampson in Fort Myers, FL seeks a Climate Resiliency Project Manager to lead resilience planning for local, state, and federal clients. You will manage projects, coordinate technical teams, and develop risk assessments and implementation plans.

The role requires 8–15 years in resiliency, planning or related fields, with strong communication, leadership, and collaboration abilities. Public outreach and proposal support are key parts of the job.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of professional experience in resiliency, planning, coastal management, engineering, or public engagement.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Planning, Civil/Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Geology, Climate Science, Environmental Studies, or related field.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple technical teams and regions.
• Experience with public speaking and representing the company at hearings, workshops, and seminars.
• Ability to manage flexible workloads and diverse project files.

Responsibilities

• Support/lead client development and business development with government agencies.
• Manage projects and tasks for climate resilience plans at multiple scales.
• Coordinate across technical teams to deliver risk assessments, solution development, and implementation planning.
• Support public outreach, partnerships, consensus building, and dispute resolution.
• Facilitate project meetings and track progress and budgets.
• Assist with proposals and marketing materials for client opportunities.
• Perform research and writing tasks to support resilience planning initiatives.
• Familiar with flood hazard data, risk mitigation strategies, and federal programs.
