Job summary

InReach is seeking friendly, caring individuals to support adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in a Charlotte, NC residential setting. The role involves meal planning, personal care, and coordinating activities within a supportive, on-site team.

Responsibilities include documenting activities, assisting with meds, and transporting clients using a van. Part-time hours (up to 29 per week) at $15.00/hour, Monday–Friday 9am–2pm, in Charlotte, NC 28212.

Qualifications

• Willingness to help others and a compassionate attitude.
• At least 6 months of experience working with I/DD or relevant roles.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Drug screen and background check required.

• Instruct and assist with household cleaning, personal care and hygiene.
• Provide community recreational activities and in-home leisure activities.
• Document activities and progress.
• Dispense medications and monitor dosages.
• Must be willing to drive a full-size passenger van.

We focus on each individual's unique needs and deliver the highest quality services possible by ensuring that each individual receives the right support, at the right time and frequency by a caring qualified staff member in the most independent setting appropriate.

What we need:

Friendly and caring individuals who work with adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) living in a residential home setting in Charlotte, NC.

What You'll Do:

• Teach and assist with meal planning and cooking.
• Instruct and assist with household cleaning, personal care & hygiene.
• Provide community recreational activities when available.
• Provide and participate in in-home leisure activities.
• Documentation of activities.
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages.
• Must be willing to drive a full-size passenger van.

• At least 6 months of previous experience (paid or volunteer) working with the I/DD population or experience relevant to the role; must be verifiable.
• A valid Driver's license
• A High School Diploma

Job Type: Part-time
