Job summary

Republic Services in Center, TX is seeking a Residential Helper to ride on the vehicle and assist the Driver on a designated residential route. You will help load waste, operate the packing mechanism, and keep the vehicle clean during daily routes.

You will interact with customers and dispatchers, ensure safety and timely service, and perform required inspections. This is a full-time role with competitive benefits and opportunities within the nation-wide waste services company.

Responsibilities

• Ride on the vehicle to assist the Driver on a designated residential route.
• Operate packing mechanism and levers to load waste onto the vehicle.
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck and spray the hopper as needed.
• Perform complete pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others to ensure timely service.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and maintain safety.
• Maintain productivity standards and follow all safety policies.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
