Job summary

Texas Pride Disposal is seeking a Residential Driver to operate a Rearload truck, collect waste, and deliver loads to designated facilities while complying with DOT regulations. You will supervise 1–2 helpers, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and maintain accurate logs and paperwork.

We value safe driving, punctuality, and courteous customer service. Valid CDL and Medical Card are required; willingness to work a varied schedule including holidays and weekends is essential.

Qualifications

• One year of related medium or heavy truck driving experience.
• Demonstrate excellent heavy truck driving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to independently operate commercial motor vehicles.
• Ability to perform basic math functions; and
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports, required logs and records and other business-related documents.

Responsibilities

• Report to work at designated time in company uniform and with required PPE.
• Ensure the assigned truck is fueled, safe to operate and that required paperwork is on board before leaving the yard.
• Collect the route as outlined in fleet routing software and document changes, problems on route sheet.
• Record time in the fleet routing software at each customer stop.
• Perform pre- and post-trip truck inspections and ensure Vehicle Condition Report is submitted.
• Work safely and professionally with customers at all times.
• Be available for scheduled shifts, including holidays and weekends.
• Track personal DOT hours of service and report if at risk of non-compliance.
• Report any moving violations to the supervisor.
• Report any accidents within 72 hours.
• Maintain a valid Medical Card and a valid Driver's License.
• Other duties as assigned.
